Beginning Junior year, this package guides students to create a balanced college list and complete applications. (FULL FOR THE CLASS OF 2026 & 2027)

College Search and Selection

Holistic review of college options based on the students’ transcripts, standardized test results, extracurricular activities, goals, interests, and financial needs
Teach student how to students to research and evaluate options, meeting 1:1 to develop a balanced college application list

Recommendation Letters, School Visit and Interview Coaching

Guide students on requesting letters of recommendation
Work with families to develop college tour options and provide resources on how to get the most out of the college visits
Prepare students for admission interviews, including mock interview questions and interview etiquette

College Application and Key Date Management

Detail application requirements and due dates utilizing the Custom College Plan online tool
Help students set up their Common App account and other application portals, as needed (UC App, Coalition App, etc.)
Provide resources on financial aid
Support students, as needed, through deferral, wait list, and final decision

Personal Statement, Supplemental Essays and Activities List

Identify all required written responses for applications
Brainstorm topics and themes and provide feedback for the Personal Statement and supplemental college application essays
Work with student to thoughtfully present their activity involvement and assist the student to create a resume and complete the application Activities List

College Readiness

Work with students to assess and evaluate their skills, interests and values and how they relate to a post secondary education

Extracurricular Planning

Consult with families on extracurricular involvement, summer planning, volunteerism, and personal narrative
Provide recommendations on programs and assistance with applications, as needed

Academic Planning

Provide academic record review and course selection advice to ensure students meet and exceed college admission requirements
Provide practice standardized testing and testing timeline
